Chelsea Elizabeth Holmes,[1] known mononymously as Holmes,[2] is an American comedian, actress, and writer best known for her role as Kelly Mallet in the Fox sitcom Welcome to Flatch.[3] Holmes has appeared on stage as a stand-up comic and improvisational actress, and has built up a substantial online following.[4]
Career
[edit]After limited appearances in short films, Holmes landed the co-lead role in the Fox sitcom Welcome to Flatch,[5] which premiered in 2022 and ended in February 2023.[6]
Personal life
[edit]Holmes graduated from Florida State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature. She wrote for The Eggplant: FSU's satirical news source, and worked at the FSU radio station WVFS.[7]
Holmes claims no birthplace or hometown in her professional profiles, stating she moved around so much as a child that no one place could be called "home". She has expressed a fondness for Chicago, where she lived for about four years.[4] She also stated that she mainly grew up in Nebraska.[8]
Holmes is queer and uses she/her and they/them pronouns.[9]
