Duplicate of function overloading

Why is this a separate page from "function overloading"? Even the introduction says they are the same concepts. Syrak (talk) 11:46, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The function overloading page talks entirely about object-oriented/procedural concepts of ad hoc polymorphism, whereas Ad Hoc Polymorphism is a term also used in functional programming. To be fair, this page makes also makes no mention of function programming and makes a slew of unjustified claims. Itsbruce (talk) 14:55, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
