Wijesekara Keyboard (also known as Sinhala Keyboard) is the only standard typewriter keyboard for sinhala script. This typewriter was first created and approved by the government of Sri Lanka in the year 1964.

In the year 2004, this was given the SLS standards as the Sri Lanka Sinhala Character Code for Information Interchange, SLS 1134 : 2004.[1]
