Argithea (Template:Lang-el) is a village and a municipality in the Karditsa peripheral unit of Greece. The seat of the municipality is in Anthiro.[2] The name derives from King Argitheos of the Athamanians who ruled circa the 3rd to 2nd century B.C.

The municipality Argithea was formed at the 2011 local government reform by the merger of the following 3 former municipalities, that became municipal units:[2]
