It can also be interfered with by the
GoogleMaps extension. When a
<googlemap> tag is placed between a set of
<ref> tags and the
<references /> tag, any footnotes preceding the map will not display in the references area. Any
<ref> tags after the
<googlemap> tag and before the
<references /> tag will appear in the references area, starting at number 1 even if they are not the first footnotes on the page. One workaround is to enable raw HTML on your wiki and embed a map made externally in
Google Maps > My Maps. Please note, however, that this is a potential security risk.
