The title and scope of this article

This article is created by User:Spdegabrielle on 31 October 2007 with the argument:

"Created page as this has become the a popular model - if not the standard, at least in InfoVis research - GFDL licensed text from prefuse.org."

No I have been checked this information, and found:

  • Google search "Information visualization reference model" only give 110 hits
  • None of them seems to link to Ed Chi
  • The PhD thesis from Ed Chi Framework for Information Visualization Spreadsheets doesn't seem to mention the term "Information visualization reference model".
  • The "data state model" give some more hits on Google, about 1990, and some of them relate to Chi.
  • The same is with "State Reference Model" and "Data State Reference Model"

This seems rather strange to me. I wonder if this article should be renamed to "data state model". -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 23:56, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
