Universal Payment Identification Code
A Universal Payment Identification Code or UPIC is an identifier for a bank account in the United States. It allows the account owner to receive electronic credit payments without revealing the account number or risking unauthorized direct debits from the account.
UPIC is developed and marketed by the Electronic Payments Network.
