The college was founded by Thiru R.S.Kothandaraman, the noted educationist and philanthropist in 1984. The college is sponsored by Sri Renga Latchumi Educational Trust, Chennai.

The campus is about 10 km away from Dindigul, a calm and peaceful town in the heart of Tamilnadu. It is situated along the Dindigul-Palani National Highway. The campus spreads to around 42.28 Hectares, in a serene and congenial atmosphere ideally suited for instructional studies. It is an absolutely self-contained campus comprising of everything the student community would require.

Now, this esteemed institution is functioning under the guidance of Mrs. K. Dhanalakshmi and under the dynamic leadership of the Directors and professionally managed by the Principal
