To report an error in content currently or imminently to appear on Main Page, use the appropriate section below. Reports should contain:
- Where is the error? An exact quotation using {{!xt}} of the text in question helps.
- Offer a correction if possible using {{xt}}.
- References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
- Time zones. The Main Page runs on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 00:00 on 2 November 2025) and is not adjusted to your local time zone.
- Can you resolve the problem yourself? If the error lies primarily in the content of an article linked from the Main Page, fix the problem there before reporting it here. Text on the Main Page generally defers to the articles with bolded links. Upcoming content on the Main Page is usually only protected from editing beginning 24 hours before its scheduled appearance. Before that period, you can be bold and fix any issues yourself.
- Do not use {{edit fully-protected}} on this page, which will not get a faster response. It is unnecessary, because this page is not protected, and causes display problems because this is not a talk page. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
- No chit-chat. Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere, such as the talk page of the relevant article or project.
- Actual errors only. Failures of subjective criteria such as interestingness are not errors.
- Respect other editors. Another user wrote the text you want changed, or reported an issue they see in something you wrote. Everyone's goal should be producing the best Main Page possible. The compressed time frame of the Main Page means sometimes action must be taken before there has been time for everyone to comment. Be civil to fellow users.
- Reports are removed when resolved. Once an error has been addressed or determined not to be an error, or the item has been rotated off the Main Page, the report will be removed from this page. Check the revision history for a record of any discussion or action taken; no archives are kept.

- Our article on Qasr Bshir appears to be in British English (e.g. "metres"), so we should use "travelled", not "traveled" in the DYK hook. JMCHutchinson (talk) 14:26, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Jmchutchinson: The article has a language tag which was added here, but the spellings already seemed to reflect British English and were not subsequently changed. The article's about a Roman fort, so I don't know why the American English requirement was added. Bazza 7 (talk) 14:53, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- Pinging Rjjiii, who added the language tag. JMCHutchinson (talk) 17:10, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- I believe we normally try to establish a consistent Engvar within a DYK set, which may mean that an article's hook doesn't match the variety in the article itself. UndercoverClassicist T·C 18:11, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- (Rjj on mobile): British English is fine for the article, and I have no issues with using "traveled" or "travelled" in the hook. I just used the wrong tag there out of habit. Rjjiii (ii) (talk) 19:14, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- I've changed it to "travelled" in the hook. Schwede66 07:50, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
- I've never heard of a requirement to have a consistent engvar between the hooks in a set. RoySmith (talk) 11:55, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
- I don't think such a thing would be desirable either. TarnishedPathtalk 12:26, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
- The English variant of a hook needs to reflect the English variant of the target article. Schwede66 16:06, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
- It would be ideal if there was an editor-in-chief, but good luck with crowd-sourced editing. —Bagumba (talk) 16:25, 28 October 2025 (UTC)

Errors in "On this day"
- In the 1640 blurb, shouldn't it be "The Treaty of Ripon was agreed on" or is it an Engvar thing? ~~ Jessintime (talk) 14:49, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Jessintime: I'd say (from my keyboard in the UK) that it's an Engvar thing. Collins agrees(!). Bazza 7 (talk) 15:54, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you ~~ Jessintime (talk) 16:16, 28 October 2025 (UTC)

I'm not sure if I'm in the right place to address this, but the reference to Ali ibn al-Fadl al-Jayshani says he was born in 915; his page says he died in 915.
- Fixed. Thanks. Z1720 (talk) 19:57, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
