::For the common abrasion injury caused by high-speed contact with rough pavement, see road rash.
Road Rash is the name of a motorcycle-racing video game series by Electronic Arts, in which the player participates in violent illegal street races.

Overview
Presented in a third-person view similar to Hang-On, the player competes in road races, and must finish in the top 3 places in every race in order to proceed to the next level. As levels progress, the opponents ride faster, fight harder and the tracks are longer and more dangerous. Placing in each race gives a certain amount of money which increases considerably subsequently as levels progressed. This money allows the player to buy faster bikes which are needed to stay competitive. The game is over if the player can't pay for the repairs when their motorcycle is wrecked, or can't pay the fine for being arrested.

The Stages
Road Rash II Takes place over the course of 5 levels which have their own unique design and challenges

Stage 1 - Alaska
Alaska is the first stage of each round (5 in all) that the bikers race on. It runs a course through the Alaskan wilderness with Deer, Bears and Bison roaming the roads.

Stage 2 - Hawaii
Hawaii takes the racers through a lush tropical section of the island while on a scenic highway. Large hills dominate the landscape while tribal drums pound away in the background.

Stage 3 - Tennessee
The third stage features the racers in a long stretch of highway in the heart of Tennessee. Old mills and trees line the side of the road.

Stage 4 - Arizona
Arizona features predominantly flat areas. Little is shown along side the road beside the occasional gas station/garage and the normal desert fauna.

Stage 5 - Vermont
Vermont features a pseudo fog induced stage that takes the riders on a curvy road through the New England country side. Fall colored trees and picket fences line the road
