Der '''Ultratriathlon''' hat sich im Laufe der Jahre als eine eigene [[Triathlon]]-Disziplin etabliert. Dabei werden Wettkämpfe über die mehrfache [[Ironman]]-Distanz ausgetragen.

Die bekanntesten sind der Double Ultratriathlon (2 ×), der Triple Ultratriathlon (3 ×), der Quintuple Ultratriathlon (5 ×) und der Deca Ultratriathlon (10 ×).

Noch extremere Wettkämpfe über die zwanzig- oder dreißigfache Ultratriathlon-Distanz sind extrem selten:
