"Who Made Who" is a hard rock/heavy metal and glam metal song by the Australian Hard Rock band AC/DC. This song, D.T., and Chase the Ace are the only new songs on Who Made Who, because the album is not only a soundtrack to Stephen King's Maximum Overdrive, but a compilation CD.

In the video to this song, directed by David Mallet, fans and radio contest winners were dressed like Angus Young, and carried red cardboard guitars similar to Angus's. The video's plot features scientists replicating Angus by means of science fiction technology; the lookalikes are shown en masse, marching in place in time to the song and raising their heads to chant the title phrase along with the chorus. A photo of Angus standing amid a group of his counterparts can be found inside the 2003 Digipak release of Who Made Who.

The song is unusual for an AC/DC song, as it begins with a bass guitar riff, which was a popular choice in the Bon Scott era, especially on the High Voltage and T.N.T. albums, but had become less common after Brian Johnson became lead singer.

"Another One Bites the Dust" is a 1980 funk-rock song from the English rock band Queen, written by bassist John Deacon and was a worldwide crossover hit (hitting number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, hitting #2 on the R&B charts and the Disco Top 100, and #7 in the UK Singles Chart). The song is Queen's best selling single and their biggest hit to date, with sales of over 7 million copies. The track is on the album The Game (1980). In 1998, it was remixed and re-released by Wyclef Jean, Pras Michel and featured Free's rap vocals.

History
The bass line was inspired by the song "Good Times" by the Disco group Chic. In an interview with New Musical Express, Chic co-founder Bernard Edwards stated, "...that Queen record came about because that Queen bass player... spent some time hanging out with us at our studio".

The opening line "Steve walks warily down the street" is thought to be a reference to Steve McQueen.
Recording sessions were produced by Reinhold Mack at Musicland Studios in Munich (West Germany) and consisted of Deacon playing almost all the instruments: bass, piano, rhythm and lead guitars and handclap percussion. Roger Taylor added a drum loop under protest and Brian May did some noises with his guitar and an Eventide Harmoniser. There are no synthesizers used in the song: all effects are created with pianos, guitars, and drums, with subsequent tape playback performed in reverse at various speeds. Finally, some sound effects were run through the Harmoniser for further processing. The effect of the Harmoniser can be heard clearly in the "swirling" nature of the sound immediately before the first lyric. Taylor did not like the song, but Freddie Mercury strongly believed in it and added some ideas. During the mix the road crew suggested it as a single but the band didn't like the idea until Michael Jackson recommended it after a concert (this was confirmed by Roger Taylor and Brian May on the U.S. radio show In the Studio with Redbeard that spotlighted the album The Game on one episode).

The song garnered Queen its only Grammy nomination, for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. The band lost to Bob Seger's album Against the Wind.

The music video was filmed at Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas.

Alleged backmasking
A common urban legend surrounding the chorus is that, when played in reverse, it contains the messages "it's fun to smoke marijuana" and "start to smoke marijuana".
In 1998, Wyclef Jean along with Pras Michel, Canibus, and Free and remixed the song using a new instrumental track and samples from the actual song for the 1998 movie Small Soldiers. This version also appeared on Queen's compilation Greatest Hits III released in 1999. It enjoyed the most success in the UK, where it entered the chart at #5, its highest chart position, going on to spend six weeks on the chart. It also reached the top ten in Finland. It charted #18, #23, #50 and #62 in New Zealand, Austria, Sweden and France, respectively.

The song appeared in the end-credits of the 1998 film Small Soldiers, with scenes from the movie featuring in the music video. In 1999, the track also featured on Queen's Greatest Hits III album.

It was Pras' third top-10 UK hit as a solo artist following Ghetto Supastar and Blue Angels.

"The Final Countdown" is a 1986 hit single released by the Swedish hard rock band Europe. It was the first single released internationally from the album The Final Countdown, and was number 1 in 26 countries, selling more than 8 million copies worldwide.

History
The song is based on an old keyboard riff that vocalist Joey Tempest composed as early as around 1981–82, on a Korg Polysix keyboard that he borrowed from keyboardist Mic Michaeli. The synth riff used in the recording was performed on a Roland JX-8P. The lyrics were inspired by David Bowie's song "Space Oddity". Originally the band had never planned to release the song as a single, and some band members wanted "Rock the Night" to be the first single off the album. "The Final Countdown" was written to be an opening song for concerts; they never thought about it being a hit but when their record company Epic Records suggested that it should be the first single, the band decided to release it.

The song has been a regular in Europe concerts ever since its live debut on the premiere of their Final Countdown Tour in April 1986. One of the most memorable performances of the song took place in Stockholm, Sweden on December 31, 1999, as part of the Millennium celebrations.

In 1999 the dance remix "The Final Countdown 2000" was released. It was produced by Brian Rawling, who had previously had success with "Believe" by Cher. The single release caused minor controversy as the first pressing had a misprint that left out the first "o" in "Countdown". The story was confirmed by Tempest during an interview with the American rock radio show The Tour Bus.

The song enjoys notable popularity in many sports arenas and stadiums; public address booths have often played the opening synth riff to rally the home crowd; it has also become a staple of high school and college pep bands for this same purpose.

Chart performance
It was a huge success in the UK, going to the top of the singles charts in late November 1986 and remaining there for 2 weeks.
"Who Made Who" is a song by the Australian Hard Rock band AC/DC. This song, D.T., and Chase the Ace are the only new songs on Who Made Who, because the album is not only a soundtrack to Stephen King's Maximum Overdrive, but a compilation CD.

The song is unusual for an AC/DC song, as it begins with a bass guitar riff, which was a popular choice in the Bon Scott era, especially on the High Voltage and [[T.N.T.
"Runaway" is a Bon Jovi song. The song is heavily influenced by the rockband Journey. It was originally written and recorded in 1983, by Jon Bon Jovi (then still under his given name of John Bongiovi), before the formation of the band Bon Jovi. The track was recorded by Jon Bon Jovi and a group of studio musicians known as "The All Star Review," which included Hugh McDonald (bass) (who now plays bass for the band Bon Jovi, although he is an unofficial member)and Dave "The Snake" Sabo, who was a childhood friend of Jon and played guitar on the track. Sabo would later be replaced by guitarist Richie Sambora, but he went on to form the popular band Skid Row, which played as an opening act at many Bon Jovi shows.

In 1983, local radio station WAPP 103.5FM "The Apple" had a contest, held in conjunction with St. John's University, to search for the best unsigned band. After the song won the contest, it became an instant hit in the summer of 1983.

Runaway was later re-recorded and released as the first single from Bon Jovi's self titled debut album. It hit the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 at #39 in early-1984 and became the band's first Top 40 hit in US. It should also be noted that it is the only song from the bands' first two albums that is still performed live.

"Who Made Who" is a song by the Australian Hard Rock band AC/DC. This song, D.T., and Chase the Ace are the only new songs on Who Made Who, because the album is not only a soundtrack to Stephen King's Maximum Overdrive, but a compilation CD.
