== Handlung ==
Der fünfjährige Harry findet die sechs [[Dinosaurier]] Roary, Trike, Pterence, Patsy, Steggy und Sid auf dem Dachboden seiner Oma in einem Eimer. Diese sind stark angestaubt, da seine Oma das letzte Mal als Kind mit ihnen gespielt hat. Harry darf sie von nun an behalten und erlebt mit ihnen viele Abenteuer und freundet sich mit ihnen an. Harry lebt mit seiner Mama, Schwester Sam und Oma Nana unter einem Dach und ist sehr froh darüber, dass er als einziger Mann im Haus Unterstützung von den Dinos bekommt. Außerdem unternimmt er auch viel mit seiner besten Freundin Charlie.

== Produktion und Veröffentlichung ==
Die Serie wurde zwischen 2005 und 2008 von Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund, CCI Entertainment, Collingwood O’Hare Entertainment, Silver Fox Films, Teletoon Originals Productions und Cartoon Network Studios unter der Regie von [[Jens Wawrczeck]] in amerikanisch-britisch-kanadischer Kooperation produziert. Dabei sind 2 Staffeln mit 52 Folgen entstanden.

Die deutsche Erstausstrahlung fand am 7. November 2005 auf dem [[Disney Channel (Deutschland)|Disney Channel]] statt und im [[Free-TV]] am 21. Januar 2006 auf [[Super RTL]]. Weitere Wiederholungen im deutschsprachigen Fernsehen erfolgten auf [[Playhouse Disney]] und [[ORF eins]]. Zudem wurde die Serie auf [[DVD]] veröffentlicht.

Peter O’Neil lebt glücklich und verliebt mit seiner Frau Dawn O’Neil sowie den gemeinsamen vier Kindern im australischen [[Outback]]. Als er eines Tages seine Tochter vom Spielen abholt und nach Hause fährt, hat er einen [[Myokardinfarkt|Herzinfarkt]] im Auto. Im Sterben verursacht er mit seinem Wagen am großen [[Echte Feige|Feigenbaum]] neben seinem Haus einen Unfall. Mit dem Tod Peters verschwindet auch das Glück in der Familie, sodass Dawn [[Depression|depressiv]] und ihre Kinder egoistisch und aggressiv werden. Ihre achtjährige Tochter Simone glaubt jedoch, dass der Baum, an dem ihr Vater starb, dessen Seele aufnahm und nun zu ihr flüstert. Sie klettert immer häufiger hinauf, um sich mit ihm zu „unterhalten“. Nach einigen Tagen reißt sie ihre Mutter aus dem Schlaf, um ihr dies als Geheimnis anzuvertrauen. Dawn klettert anschließend selbst in den Baum hinauf, verteilt persönliche Dinge von Peter, glaubt an dessen Seele im Baum und spricht zu ihm.

Aber der Baum wächst aggressiv weiter, sodass er mit seinem Wurzelwerk nicht nur das Fundament des Hauses angreift, sondern auch die Wasserleitungen verstopft. Als Dawn einen Klempner sucht, findet sie mit George Elrick nicht nur einen hilfsbereiten Handwerker, sondern auch ihren neuen Boss, bei dem sie tagsüber als neue Verkäuferin arbeitet. Bei ihm fühlt sie sich wieder wohl und glücklich, sodass sie immer mehr Zeit mit ihm verbringt und ihn auch nach der Arbeit auf einen [[Trinkkultur in Europa|Umtrunk]] in die Kneipe begleitet. Dort spielen und tanzen sie gemeinsam, bis sie sich das erste Mal nahe kommen und sich küssen. Simone ahnt davon erst etwas, als ein besonders großer Ast Dawns Schlafzimmerfenster zerstört und direkt auf dem Bett landet. Sie hält es für eine Bestrafung des Baumes. Und Dawn nutzt ihn, um sich unter den Blättern und Ästen einzukuscheln und wieder behütet schlafen zu können.

Simone ist entsetzt, als sie entdeckt, dass mit George ein neuer Mann ins Leben ihrer Mutter getreten ist, und wie dieser mit Gewalt das Gestrüpp aus Ästen aus dem Schlafzimmer ihrer Mutter zieht. Noch wütender wird sie, als sie erfährt, dass George mit seinem Wohnwagen als neuer Freund ihrer Mutter das Weihnachtsfest mit ihnen allen am Strand verbringt und dabei wieder etwas Glück und Freude aufkommt. Sie beschwert sich, dass dies ihr erstes Weihnachten ohne Daddy sei und ihnen das alles egal zu sein scheint. Als sie aus dem Urlaub zurückkehren, sehen sie, wie stark der Baum das Haus mit seinem Geäst und seinem Wurzelwerk bereits in Beschlag nimmt und es zu zerstören droht. Als würde der Baum ein besitzergreifendes Verhalten zeigen. George überzeugt Dawn nun, den Baum doch fällen zu lassen, so wie von den Nachbarn schon lange gefordert, denn sie ärgern sich schon lange über die zerstörerischen Wurzeln, die bis in ihre Grundstücke wachsen. Doch Simone will den Baum verteidigen, indem sie sich in ihrem Baumhaus darauf verbarrikadiert und die angekommenen Baumfäller und George mit Gegenständen bewirft. Zuerst Dawn, dann ihr ältester Sohn Tim und später auch George scheitern daran, sie zum Herunterkommen zu bewegen; Simone droht schließlich damit, aus dem Baumhaus herunterzuspringen. Dawn ändert daraufhin ihre Meinung, schlägt sich auf Simones Seite und fordert George dazu auf, Simone in Ruhe zu lassen und die Fällung abzubrechen. Nach einem kurzen Streit beendet sie auch die Beziehung mit ihm und schickt ihn davon.

Nachdem Dawn die folgende Nacht unter dem Schutz des Baumes geschlafen hat, bedroht ein [[Zyklon]] die Küstenregion. Zwar kann sich Dawn mit ihren Kindern retten, aber das Unwetter zerstört nahezu das komplette Haus und entwurzelt den Baum, sodass sie mit ihrer Familie wegzieht, da sie nichts mehr an dem Ort hält. Auf dem Weg begegnet sie George, der ihr einen Unterschlupf anbietet, was sie aber ablehnt.

== Motivation ==
Sowohl die Regisseurin Julie Bertuccelli als auch Charlotte Gainsbourg hatten privat jeweils den Verlust eines ihnen nahestehenden Menschen erlebt. Gainsbourg verlor als zwanzigjährige Frau ihren Vater [[Serge Gainsbourg]] (1928–1991) durch den Tod. Als Schauspielerin hatte sie vor zwei Dingen Angst: Einerseits glaubte sie, dass sie die Rolle für die Regisseurin nicht adäquat genug spielen könnte. == Handlung ==
Der junge Speed Racer nimmt als Fahrer des familieneigenen unabhängigen Rennstalls an Autorennen teil. Seit er klein war, dreht sich für ihn alles nur um Autos und Geschwindigkeit. Er eifert seinem Bruder nach, einem legendären Rennfahrer, der bei einem tragischen Unfall ums Leben gekommen ist. Zusammen mit seiner Familie und seiner Freundin Trixie führt er ein eher ruhiges Leben. Eines Tages klopft Royalton, Besitzer des gleichnamigen Industriegiganten und Profirennstalls, an seine Tür und unterbreitet Speed und seiner Familie das lukrative Angebot, ihn als Fahrer zu engagieren. Speed lehnt jedoch das Angebot aus persönlichen Gründen ab, was Royalton ihm mehr als übel nimmt. Er klärt Speed darüber auf, dass es beim Autorennen nur um die Macht des Geldes geht und er seine Entscheidung noch bereuen wird. Indem er ein folgendes Rennen, an dem Speed teilnimmt, manipuliert und den Familienrennstall grundlos anklagt und damit diskreditiert, versucht er, Druck auf Speed auszuüben.

Inspektor Detektor, Mitarbeiter der Behörde CIB, die gegen Wirtschaftsverbrechen und Rennmanipulationen ermittelt, kommt in Begleitung mit dem Undercover-Rennfahrer Racer X auf Speed zu, um ihn für den Kampf gegen das Monopol um Royalton und andere, wie den Bösewicht Cruncher Block, zu gewinnen. Erst kürzlich konnte Racer X den Fahrer Taejo Togokhan aus den Fängen Cruncher Blocks befreien. Um den Machenschaften der Verbrecher endgültig ein Ende zu bereiten, nimmt Speed gegen den Willen seines Vaters zusammen mit Racer X und Taejo Togokhan an der berüchtigten Cross-Country Rally „Casa Cristo“ teil, ein Rennen, bei dem skrupellose Fahrer mit unerlaubten Mitteln mitmischen und bei dem sein Bruder vor Jahren auf tragische Weise im Cockpit seines Wagens verbrannt ist. Auf der ersten Etappe harmonieren Speed und Racer X so sehr bei der Verteidigung gegen eine Armada von gekauften Gegnern, dass Speed darüber nachdenkt, was der Grund für das gute Zusammenspiel der beiden sein könnte. Racer X betrat zwei Jahre nach dem Tod seines Bruders die Bildfläche und auch die beerdigte Leiche des Bruders war auf Grund der kompletten Verbrennungen nicht eindeutig zu identifizieren.

Vor dem Start der zweiten Etappe wird Taejo Togokhan während des Schlafens eine Droge verabreicht, wodurch er nicht mehr fahren kann und kurzerhand Trixi das freie Steuer im Team Togokhan übernimmt. Schließlich gewinnt das Team Togokhan die Rally, doch schnell stellt sich heraus, dass Taejo und sein reicher Vater nur daran interessiert waren, dadurch den Aktienkurs des väterlichen Unternehmens steigen zu lassen, um es teuer an Royalton verkaufen zu können. Der Sieger dieser Rally wäre zur Teilnahme am Grand-Prix qualifiziert, den Royalton durch geheime Siegabsprachen kontrolliert, doch Taejo hegt an der Teilnahme kein Interesse. Racer X stattet dem aufgebrachten und enttäuschten Speed einen Besuch ab und spricht ihm Mut zu. Dabei zeigt er auch erstmals sein Gesicht, welches Speed jedoch fremd ist und dieser dadurch erkennen muss, dass es sich nicht um seinen Bruder handelt. Kurz darauf kommt Taejos Schwester, die ihrem Bruder und Vater eine Lektion erteilen will, Speed zu Hilfe und überbringt ihm die nicht genutzte Einladung Taejos für den Grand Prix, denn auch Speed ist laut den Statuten als Mitglied des Siegerteams startberechtigt. Dafür bauen er und seine Familie den ''Mach 6'' in rekordverdächtigen 32 Stunden auf.

Als letzter Teilnehmer meldet sich Speed für das Rennen an. Angesichts der korrekten Einladung kann Royalton dies nicht verhindern, setzt aber gleichwohl eine Belohnung von 1 Million Dollar für denjenigen Fahrer aus, der Speed aus dem Rennen katapultiert. Doch alle Versuche der Kontrahenten, Speed von der Piste zu drängen, schlagen fehl. In einem furiosen Rennen geht Speed als strahlender Sieger hervor. Im Jubel der Zuschauer stellt Inspektor Detektor dem mit Stolz erfüllten Racer X die Frage, ob es denn richtig war, Speed nicht die Wahrheit zu sagen und in einer Rückblende wird klar, dass es sich bei dem geheimnisvollen Rennfahrer doch um Rex handelt, der seinen Unfalltod vorgetäuscht und sein Gesicht mit Hilfe einer Operation hat ändern lassen, um unerkannt auf der Seite der CIB kämpfen zu können. Rex alias Racer X entgegnet, dass es möglicherweise ein Fehler war, aber einer, mit dem er leben müsse. Togokhan sagt in Manipulationsprozessen aus, infolge derer Royalton schuldig gesprochen wird und ins Gefängnis muss.

Oft interpretieren sie eine menschliche Errungenschaft oder Verhaltensweise falsch und halten sie für eine Gefahr, vor der sie ihre Erdenwirtin Lucy oder gleich die ganze Menschheit retten müssen. Daneben versucht Perry immer wieder diverse Apparate zu bauen, die sie entweder auf ihren Heimatplaneten Dogma zurückbringen oder zumindest ein Notsignal dorthin schicken sollen. Dies wird oft durch Nicks tollpatschiges und nachlässiges Verhalten vereitelt, oder weil er sich schlicht sträubt, die Erde zu verlassen. Viele Episoden drehen sich auch darum, dass Mr. Smith versucht, die Hunde beim Sprechen, beim aufrechten Gang oder bei der Bedienung eines technischen Apparates zu ertappen und ihnen deswegen diverse Fallen stellt.

== Handlung ==
Der Film spielt im Jahr 1999. Ein indischer [[Satellit (Raumfahrt)|Satellit]] mit nuklearem Material an Bord verlässt unkontrolliert den [[Umlaufbahn|Orbit]] und nähert sich der Erde. Es besteht Grund zur Sorge, dass durch einen Absturz Teile der Menschheit und weite Landstriche verseucht werden könnten.

Claire Tourneur hat sich vor kurzem von ihrem Freund Eugene Fitzpatrick getrennt. Seitdem ist sie rastlos unterwegs, hetzt von Party zu Party. Sie gerät in einen Verkehrsstau, der aus einer Massenpanik heraus – wegen des indischen Satelliten – entstanden ist. Sie verlässt die Autobahn und begibt sich auf Nebenstraßen. Bei einem Überholvorgang kollidiert ihr Auto mit dem Wagen zweier Männer. Diese erweisen sich als Kriminelle, die eine Bank auf dem [[Flughafen Nizza]] ausgeraubt haben. Claire soll einen Teil der Beute abbekommen, wenn sie sie nach [[Paris]] bringt. Unterwegs lernt sie Sam Farber (alias Trevor McPhee) kennen – es ist Liebe auf den ersten Blick.

Claire liefert das Geld bei ihrem Freund in Paris ab, der es sofort nachzählt. Nach einem kräftigen Griff in die Kasse reist sie wieder ab und begibt sich auf die Suche nach Sam.

Nach und nach erst verstehen Claire und der Zuschauer die Zusammenhänge. Sam ist im Auftrag seines Vaters, Dr. Henry Farber, unterwegs zu Verwandten in aller Welt, um ihre Grüße mit einer Spezialkamera aufzunehmen. Zuhause soll diese Kamera die Bilder in das Gehirn seiner blinden Mutter projizieren. Die US-Regierung hat ein Kopfgeld von 500.000 US$ auf Sam ausgesetzt, da sie der Spezialkamera – eine Erfindung seines Vaters – habhaft werden will.

Es folgt also eine Verfolgungsjagd rund um den Globus. Sam hat Claire, deren Freund Eugene sowie diverse Kopfgeldjäger im Schlepptau. Stationen sind unter anderem Berlin, Portugal, Moskau, Wladiwostok, Tokio, San Francisco sowie der australische Busch.

Als die Protagonisten in Australien angekommen sind, wird der Satellit von den Amerikanern abgeschossen. Durch den [[Elektromagnetischer Puls#Nuklearer elektromagnetischer Impuls (NEMP)|Nuklearen EMP]] werden alle elektrischen Geräte zerstört. Es ist zu befürchten, dass die Explosion auch andere Satelliten beschädigt haben könnte, was weitere atomare Explosionen heraufbeschwören könnte. Die weitere Fahrt ist also die Flucht vor einem möglichen [[Radioaktiver Niederschlag|Fallout]], der Fortbestand der Menschheit bleibt fraglich.

Angekommen im Geheimlabor von Dr. Henry Farber, beginnt man sofort damit, die Bilder in das Gehirn von Mutter Edith zu projizieren. Nach dem erfolgreichen Abschluss des Experiments stirbt Edith zur Neujahrsfeier 1999/2000. Henry widmet sich weiteren Experimenten zur Sichtbarmachung von Träumen. Seine Mitarbeiter aus einem Stamm der [[Aborigines]] protestieren vehement und möchten sich an diesen Experimenten nicht beteiligen. Vermutlich will der Autor hier Zusammenhänge mit der [[Traumzeit]] herstellen. Die Experimente erweisen sich als Fluch, alle Teilnehmer werden zu Abhängigen ihrer eigenen Träume.

Die Geschichte findet ihr Ende, als Claire und Eugene heimkehren und die US-Amerikaner Dr. Farber und seine Kamera in die USA fliegen.

Lauras Freund macht einen Heiratsantrag, worauf Laura sich Sorgen macht, wie Amelia die Nachricht empfängt. Amelia machte Schluss mit ihrem Partner, mit dem sie jedoch weiterhin befreundet bleibt. Er leiht manchmal Geld von ihr, mit dem er unter anderen Telefonsex finanziert.

Amelia flirtet mit dem Angestellten einer Videothek, Bill, der sie zum einen Treffen der Filmfans einlädt. Währenddessen bereitet Laura ihre Hochzeit vor, wobei ihr Amelia und andere Freunde helfen. Unterstützung bekommt sie von Frank, von Andrew – mit dem sie früher eine Beziehung hatte – wie auch von einem Brieffreund.
